This is our most intensive non-boarding program, comprised of SIX 60-minute private, customized sessions.  The Loyal Lassie program is geared for dogs that are exhibiting more serious signs of aggression or reactivity, and for owners who are looking to have their dog be set with the on/off-leash basics for life! We work at local Denver parks, and in your home. Upon completion of this package, you will be left with a dog that can:

 

• Walk on a loose leash, without reactivity or aggression toward people, animals, dogs, bikes, scooters, or other triggers and distractions in busy public spaces

• Off-leash recall with HIGH levels of distractions

• Exhibit calm, neutral behavior in public & in the home toward strangers; ability to settle and a built-in “off” switch

• Hold place command (implied stay on a dog bed) when guests come in, while you eat, etc., off-leash!

• Understanding of the word “no”; great for stopping nuisance behaviors such as barking, counter surfing, digging, inappropriate intensity, jumping on people, etc

• Relax calmly under a table at a brewery or outside restaurant, patio, or coffee shop, ignoring all dogs, humans, and distractions that may be going on around them

WE OFFER SEVERAL TIERS OF INTENSIVE BOOTCAMP-STYLE OPTIONS FOR BUSY OWNERS

WHO FEEL ONE ON ONE SESSiONS ALONE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH FOR THEIR SPECIFIC SITUATION.

These programs are completely customized and tailored to your dog's unique issues and with your goals as an owner in mind. A complimentary phone consultation is included in tuition. Upon completion, your dog will be able to follow commands on and off-leash, without treats, in HIGH LEVELS OF DISTRACTION.  We will also address any on-leash issues such as pulling, jumping, and excessive barking. We will modify behavior accordingly if your dog is exhibiting aggression. 

 

In each customized program, your dog will learn the commands that we feel will give them the greatest quality of life and inclusion.

Here are just a few of the behaviors that can be trained and addressed:

 

• Heel (Loose-leash walking) in high distraction settings - no reactivity!

• Biting of Humans or aggression toward other dogs/animals

• Implied "Stay/"Place Command 

• Recall (Come) in high distraction settings

• Crate Manners/Separation Anxiety

• Waiting for Food, and not rushing through open doors, or up/down stairs

• Mouthiness

• A "Drop" or "Out" Command

Our immersive Bootcamp program builds massive amounts of confidence and helps your dog develop social skills and coping tools for interacting with (or just tolerating) dogs and humans, patterns new foundation behaviors, working the entire time toward creating a more stable emotional baseline.  Dogs receive private, customized training sessions, group training sessions, daily structured walks, controlled socialization opportunities with balanced dogs, and supervised play time between intensive training. (Think Doggy Daycamp, but with rules and massive structure!) By the end of their training, your dog will understand an entirely new way of being. Additionally, you will be armed with a better understanding of canine psychology, body language, and proper handling skills, allowing you both to enjoy a stress-free life together. Our methods build confidence by teaching your dog to defer to you when they are uncomfortable, create space when they need it, and reliably make better choices in all kinds of situations, with minimal stress and confusion, and in a very reasonable amount of time.  

 

We are one of the few training companies in the Denver area with a successful track record when it comes to the rehabilitation of both human and dog-aggressive dogs, even those with documented bite histories.  Through intensive Rehabilitation Programs designed with compassion, structure, obedience, and the application of advanced behavior modification techniques, we have saved hundreds of dogs that would have otherwise been put down or given up on. Having your dog enroll in this comprehensive rehabilitation process allows us to enforce new routines and repattern old habits. Our Bootcamp curriculum provides the ideal training circumstances for such dramatic changes to take place.  Your dog will learn to trust the human leaders in their lives, and how to follow non-negotiable rules and boundaries - these key principles and many more, are needed to re-establish balance.
